Recognising the value of these materials, it is crucial to document both the past and present, underscoring the importance of archives and the need to raise awareness about the documentation culture across all societal segments. She also emphasised the significance of archives in facilitating decision-making and preserving the state's cultural legacy.
Al Mazmi praised the National Archives' important role in preserving documentary heritage and acknowledged the support it receives from wise leadership, which allows it to excel and overcome challenges in developing archival work while staying current with technological advancements and global best practices.
Mira Ahmed, Head of the Archives Department of SDPW, underlined the significance of all department employees' efforts to care for papers, which serve as crucial human memories.
She emphasised the importance of well-organised archives and materials that are easily accessible, particularly given the considerable advances in strategies for conserving all types of documents through educational and digital means.
This programme intends to achieve its objectives by creating a competitive environment that encourages participation in the educational contest, for which awards have been provided.
