Sharjah24: The Sharjah Directorate of Public Works (SDPW) hosted a number of events in commemoration of the 52nd UAE Union Day.

As part of the festivities, the building's outside space hosted an employee majlis and a platform for local artisans to display their crafts while extending the warm welcome of the Emirati people.

Employees were pleased with this year's festivities, which paid tribute to the social and cultural aspects of the United Arab Emirates.

According to Maryam Al Mazmi, Director of the Institutional Communication Centre at the directorate, "At this time every year, the directorate's celebrations get underway for the Union Day, a special national occasion awaited by the people of the UAE, given its significant meanings that reflect the values of loyalty and belonging to the country and our leadership."
