Sharjah24: Breastfeeding Friends Association (BFA) , one of the voluntary organizations supporting health under the Health Education Department of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, concluded the activities of the 18th edition of "Breastfeeding Guides" program.
The program was conducted in Arabic and English, with the participation of 20 trainees, including working mothers, housewives, and breastfeeding enthusiasts from different nationalities within and outside the country. The program, which started in the second week of May, lasted for 12 days and included a series of virtual lectures through video conferencing, followed by 15 hours of practical training in hospitals and health centers.

The Breastfeeding Guides program is delivered by a group of specialized experts from the medical staff working in various health centers and hospitals in the UAE, in addition to a team of volunteer guides and consultants from the society. The program is supervised by the staff and volunteers of the society.

Engineer Khawla Abdulaziz Al Nuaiman, the President of the Friends of Breastfeeding Association, praised the participating mothers at the end of the program and expressed her great satisfaction with the program's success, which contributes to enhancing the society's efforts in promoting the culture of breastfeeding and sustainable health. It also provides all possible support to provide advice and guidance to mothers and help them adhere to it for the benefit of their health, the safety of their children, and their community. This achievement aligns with the vision and directives of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, in promoting Sharjah's status as a healthy and child-friendly city, as well as the rest of the Emirates.
