Dibba Al Hisn Youth wins 1st place in the table tennis tournament

Sharjah 24: Dibba Al Hisn Youth team won first place in the Sharjah Youth Table Tennis Championship, organised by the Sharjah Youth Table Tennis Championship, affiliated with the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, as part of the agenda of its different tournaments and activities during the Spring Youth Season.
Khorfakkan Youth team came in second place, followed by Al Dhaid Youth team that came in third place.

The tournament, hosted by Al Dhaid Youth, was held with a one-time knockout system, with the participation of 32 members of the eight Sharjah Youth Centres spread across the Emirate of Sharjah, within the age group from 13 to 18 years. The tournament aims at discovering those distinguished in table tennis, and providing them with the opportunity to apply their acquired skills in a competitive environment, contribute to refining their sports skills.

The members competed enthusiastically, which demonstrated their advanced technical levels and distinguished performance amid a remarkable presence led by Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Yasi, Director of the Sharjah Youth Foundation; Shehab Al Awadhi, Head of the Centres Affairs Department at Sharjah Youth Foundation; Samir George, sports expert at Sharjah Sports Council; Islam Abdullah Mutawa, coach of the UAE national junior table tennis team, and a number of directors and members of Sharjah youth centres.

Finally, the teams that won first places were honoured. The first place cup was won by the Dibba Al Hisn Youth team, consisting of Ibrahim Suleiman Al Nuaimi, Mansour Khalfan Al Salami, and Sultan Hassan Ali Mutawa. The second place cup was won by the Khorfakkan Youth team, including Khalifa Muhammad Khalfan, Abdullah Muhammad Khalfan, and Youssef Badr. The third place cup went to the Dhaid Youth team, which included Badr Ibrahim, Mansour Ibrahim, Omar Ali Muhammad, and Hamed Ibrahim Ismail.
