Saqr bin Mohammed hails UAE president’s humanitarian efforts

Sharjah 24: Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Charitable International (SCI), extended his congratulations to UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the occasion of His Highness’s reception of the inaugural “PAM Global Humanitarian Personality Award by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) at the 18th Plenary Session held in Braga, Portugal.”

The award was granted to His Highness the President of the UAE in appreciation of His Highness’s efforts and his continuous contributions over decades to the field of humanitarian relief around the world.

Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi conveyed warm congratulations and blessings to President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on behalf of the Sharjah Charitable International's Board of Directors and its employees. He lauded the remarkable efforts of His Highness, supported by his brothers, Their Highnesses, Supreme Council Members, the rulers of the Emirates, and the people of the UAE, both citizens and residents. The award received reflects the UAE's unwavering commitment to humanitarianism, a legacy nurtured since the time of the federation's founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and continued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. These values, deeply ingrained in the UAE's ethos, guide its exceptional efforts in global crises, guided by the President's directives. The UAE's dedication to humanitarian work, transcending barriers of color, gender, and religion, underscores its enduring commitment to assisting those in need.

He further emphasised that under the leadership of His Highness the President of the UAE, supported by the Rulers of the Emirates and the generous contributions of the people of the UAE, both citizens and residents, humanitarian endeavours are experiencing a significant upsurge termed "Sustainability." This concept not only highlights the Emirates' leadership in the scale of giving and expenditure on relief aid programs but also underscores the profound impact of these efforts globally. The Sharjah Charity International, as a key player in international humanitarian aid under the UAE's auspices, aligns closely with the wise leadership's commitment to sustainability, evident in its numerous development projects and programmes in impoverished nations. Once again, hearty congratulations to President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for this humanitarian accolade, bestowed in recognition and appreciation of his tireless efforts.
