Sharjah 24: The activities of the eleventh edition of the Sharjah School Theatre Festival continued, on Wednesday, at the Sharjah Institute for Theatrical Arts, in the presence of Ahmed Bourahima, where the jury witnessed six performances from Sharjah and the eastern and central regions.
The programme of performances began with the play “Paper Hero” by the Abdullah Al Salem School in Sharjah. It was directed by teacher Khaled Walid Abdul Shafi Raslan, and witnessed the participation of 30 students.
“Under Control,” the second show was presented by Al Madam School from the Central Region, and was directed by the teacher Bassem Ahmed Mohammed Baraka, with the participation of 10 students.
Al Qudwah School presented the third show from the Eastern Region, titled “Hadith Marsoum,” directed by the teacher Aisha Thabet Al Qaidi, and ten students participated in it.
Al Orouba School from Sharjah participated in “The Commandments” directed by teacher Hossam Abdelaziz and 21 students participated in it. As for Al Thameed School from the Central Region, it presented its show titled “The Frame” directed by teacher Bassem Adel Abdel Tawab Shaaban, with the participation of 11 students.
The sixth show titled “Hell was presented by the Al Khalil bin Ahmed School from the Eastern Region. Teacher Marwan Al Akhdar Al Salaawi, with the participation of 9 students, directed it.
The closing ceremony of the festival will be organised, on Thursday, at the Cultural Palace, where the award-winning performances will be announced.
Artist Dr. Habib Ghuloum heads the jury, and its membership includes the Iraqi artist Alaa Shaker and the Kuwaiti artist Ahmed Al Salman.
