Sharjah24: Fawaghi Al Fardan, a member of the Media Committee of the Sharjah School Theatre Festival emphasised that the 11th edition, which commenced on Monday at the Sharjah Cultural Palace, is generously sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Al Fardan has announced that 15 schools have successfully qualified to compete for the prestigious awards at the highly anticipated 11th edition of the festival. She highlighted that the Cultural Palace hosted the inaugural stage of theatrical performances from Sharjah city and the Eastern and Central regions.
According to Al Fardan, in an interview with "Sharjah24," the performances for the secondary stage and the second cycle for girls are scheduled for Tuesday. On Wednesday, the performances for the secondary stage and the second cycle for boys will take place. The final results will be announced next Thursday.
There is a wide range of awards available, covering various aspects of the profession, such as writing, directing, and acting. One notable award is the Sharjah Award for School Theatre Writing, which attracted a significant number of talented playwrights.
