Sharjah24: Coinciding with the International Workers' Day, which falls on the first of May, Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” embodied its commitment to the values of tolerance by organizing number of activities for the worker that included giving gifts to all workers and employees of the Department.

Such event comes to consolidate the principle of social solidarity and the values of volunteerism and teamwork among various segments of society through the participation of the Department's employees in local and international events, and its belief in its social responsibility towards workers as a contributing partner in the sustainable development process and one of the most important components of progress achieved by UAE.

Furthermore, the Department pointed out that UAE has provided a global model for caring about workers and the preservation of their rights, as an important segment in its social fabric, which has its role and contributions in various fields of work and production.

The Department also pointed out that the International Workers' Day is an appropriate opportunity to honor workers and to highlight their importance, productivity, tolerance and acceptance, which is one of the humanitarian principles and noble values established by our generous leadership, as they are considered a major party in the production process and a partner in development and contribute to achieving different goals and orientations that the country adopts.

Moreover, this event instills the values of care, intimacy, tolerance and giving among all segments and groups of society. Also, it promotes the country’s orientations and policies based on tolerance, and comes in line with the wise leadership's approach to expressing loyalty to everyone who serves the country and contributes to the development of its process and urban renaissance.

Likewise, SEDD stressed that this event comes within the agenda of appreciation for the role  of workers and employees who make good efforts to perform their jobs to the fullest and contribute sincerely and seriously to the work process.
