Abdul Moneim Al Duwairi, Director of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, Al Dhaid Branch, revealed the details of the fifth edition of the Family Programme for Home Projects designated for students with disabilities from the “Masarat” Department. The programme, organised by Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, Al Dhaid Branch, aims to train families to establish home projects that contribute to supporting their children and enhancing their independence.
Speaking exclusively to “Sharjah 24”, Abdul Moneim Al Duwairi stated that the event included 42 participating families, students and government institutions, and the productive families presented different products such as incense and perfumes, printing on cups and clothes, as well as making rosaries, bracelets, and works of art and crafts such as spinning and tulle.
Al Duwairi added that government agencies, such as the Department of Social Services and the Department of Economic Development, participated to provide workshops and introductory consultations on the home license “electronic accreditation” for families participating in the programme.
Al Duwairi pointed out the importance of this programme in empowering students with disabilities and supporting them to become active and productive individuals in society.
The programme received great approval and interaction from the participating families, which reflects the success of the idea and its desired goals.
