SSSD Hosts Learning Difficulties Workshop

Kholoud Al Nuaimi, Director of the Social Permits Department , emphasized that the department, through its Training Division, regularly organizses scientific, educational, awareness, and informative workshops, ranging from two to four times monthly. These workshops cover various topics with the aim of enhancing social work and developing social professionals licensed by the Sharjah Social Services Department to practice social work in the Emirate of Sharjah. These professionals include social workers, psychologists, special education teachers, occupational therapists, and behavioural analysts.

She noted that the workshop addressed the definition of learning difficulties strategies from an academic perspective and how to interpret reports. The first day, conducted online, covered an introduction to learning difficulties, while the second day focused on practical exercises related to assessing the knowledge level of professionals in the field of learning difficulties.
