Dibba Al-Hisn Council Hosts Cancer Awareness Lecture

Sharjah24: Continuing their efforts in serving and educating the community, the City Council of Dibba Al-Hisn, under the jurisdiction of the Districts Affairs Department, organised a medical lecture as part of the activities of the blessed month of Ramadan. The lecture focused on raising awareness about early cancer screening and its importance in preserving health and saving lives.
Professor Hamid bin Harmal Al Shamsi, an oncology consultant, delivered the lecture amidst a distinguished audience consisting of community leaders, council members, as well as several prominent figures from the Federal National Council, the Advisory Council of Sharjah, the Municipal Council of Dibba Al-Hisn, in addition to the presence of Sulaiman bin Jama'ah Al-Yahyai, the Chairman of Dibba Al-Hisn City Council, and its members.

Through this lecture, the Dibba Al-Hisn Council reaffirms its commitment to providing healthcare services and awareness to the city's residents, while continuing to support efforts aimed at improving quality of life and community health.

Media presenter Huda Ahmed Al Sharqi from Sharjah TV Channel welcomed the attendees and highlighted the importance of the topic and the role of Dibba Al-Hisn Council in spreading awareness among various segments of society.

Professor Hamid bin Harmal Al Shamsi addressed the importance of early cancer detection during his lecture, emphasising its role in enhancing treatment opportunities and increasing chances of survival. One of the key points discussed by Professor Al Shamsi was the significance of early cancer detection and its impact on improving treatment and recovery prospects. He provided a comprehensive overview of different types of cancer and how to detect them in their early stages, stressing the importance of regular screening and medical guidance in diagnosing this disease.

Furthermore, during the lecture, Al Shamsi elaborated on the factors influencing the increased risk of cancer and how to mitigate these factors through a healthy lifestyle and raising individual awareness about dietary habits and health practices.

The audience showed significant interest and engagement with the lecture, underscoring the growing awareness of the importance of prevention and early detection in combating diseases.
