Sharjah24: The Sharjah Charity International successfully conducted the "Zayed Humanitarian Day" initiative on Friday at Al Musalla Square Park in Sharjah. The event was graced by the presence of Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the SCI, Salem Ali Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah Municipal Council, Abdullah Sultan bin Khadem, Executive Director of the Society, and several other directors. More than 8,000 workers and families participated in the initiative's activities, organised by over 300 volunteers and witnessed by the association's departments and some public figures.
Sheikh Saqr commemorated the anniversary of Zayed Humanitarian Day on the 19th of Ramadan and emphasised Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's legacy, the founder of the nation, whose influence can be seen in various fields, especially in the value of giving, which Sheikh Zayed greatly appreciated. He also acknowledged that the wise leadership followed Sheikh Zayed's path, enabling the SCI to support people in becoming self-reliant.

Sheikh Saqr stated that the initiative aimed to bring joy and happiness to the participants. The event included several activities, such as a group breakfast event for over 8,000 workers, a pavilion for free medical examinations in partnership with the NMC Hospital, and various games that garnered broad participation from the attendees.

The SCI embodied its objectives by bringing joy and happiness to the participants and joining the society's members, including citizens and residents of all nationalities, on this occasion. Sheikh Saqr commended the excellent organisation of the work teams and volunteers, with the support of partners such as the Sharjah Municipality, Sharjah Police, Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, Sharjah Government Media Bureau, NMC Hospital, and everyone who contributed to the initiative's success.
