Poet Mullah Imran highlighted at "Emirates..Events and History"

Sharjah 24: Heritage researcher Fahd Al Maamari, Chairman of the Emirates Library and Information Association describes the Al-Qawasim poet Mulla Imran, who died in Ramadan in 1867, as a high-ranking literary, scientific and religious figure of his time.
"Emirates..Events and History" programme, presented by "Sharjah 24", reviews historical situations and events that took place in the country during the holy month of Ramadan. The weekly eight- episode programme is broadcast on Tuesday and Thursday. The second episode presents the death of the Al-Qawasim poet Mullah Imran bin Ali bin Radwan who was a contemporary of Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi.

In the second episode of the programme, Al Maamari explains that Mullah Imran was one of the men of knowledge and jurisprudence in the city of Lingeh, and one of the glorious and eloquent poets with multiple poetic purposes. He was assigned to the position of judgeship and fatwa in the city of Lingeh, where he led a pioneering scientific and literary movement. According to accounts, he lived 100 years, during which he chronicled many events at that time. He was a powerhouse of events, luminaries, and biographies.
