Sharjah 24: The programme "Emirates... Events and History", presented by "Sharjah 24", reviews historical events that took place in the country, during the holy month of Ramadan, in 8 episodes, published twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week.
Heritage researcher Fahd Al Maamari, Chairman of the Emirates Library and Information Association, considers 1903 to be a very important date in the Trucial States region in the past, when Lord Curzon, the British Viceroy and Governor General of India, arrived on the coast of Sharjah, and met with the rulers of the sheikhdom or the coastal emirates as they were called in the past.
He explained, in the first episode of the programme "Emirates Events and History", that the importance of the visit came in the speech that Lord Curzon delivered to the rulers in which he affirmed the dominance of the British presence in the region and also announced that the Shamiliya coast belongs to Al Qawasim government.
