Sharjah 24: The Arabic Language Educational Centre for Gulf States (ALECGS) in Sharjah, recently concluded its annual Ramadan Forum. This event was attended by specialists, representatives from government departments, community organisations, and individuals interested in the Arabic language.
The Forum featured a lecture titled "New Dimensions in Understanding Quranic Texts" which tackled a renewed topic in the context of the Centre's focus on Arabic language and its sciences.
The lecture, hosted by Dr. Mohammed Safi Al-Mostaghanemi, ALECGS Secretary-General, was moderated by ALECGS Director Dr. Issa Saleh Al-Hammadi who congratulated His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on the release of the first nine volumes of the " Rhetorical Interpretation Encyclopedia " for the first six parts of the Holy Quran. He emphasised that the encyclopedia is a valuable addition to the study of the Quran's eloquence and creativity.
At the end of the lecture, Dr. Al-Hamadi expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Mohammed Safi Al-Mostaghanemi for his informative talk on the Arabic language and selected models of eloquence in interpreting verses from the Holy Quran. He presented the guest speaker with a commemorative shield.
