Sharjah24: Sharjah Police in cooperation with the Anti-Begging Committee, has launched the campaign "Begging is a Crime, Giving is Responsibility." The campaign aims to raise public awareness of the dangers of these phenomena to society, in order to preserve community security and stability until the end of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr.
The campaign is part of Sharjah Police's ongoing efforts to raise awareness and combat negative phenomena, which tend to increase during the holy month of Ramadan. These include begging and street vendors in residential areas and commercial centers, who exploit the month of mercy to collect unlawful money.

The Sharjah Police urges the public to be cautious about falling victim to beggars. It also calls on community members to contribute to eliminating these phenomena based on social responsibility, and to donate through officially recognized charitable associations and institutions approved by government authorities. Additionally, it encourages cooperation with the police by immediately reporting any instances of begging through the toll-free number (901) or (80040), or using the "Harees" service on the Sharjah Police smart application or their official website.
