Sharjah24: The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) has initiated its seasonal initiative, "Zakki," encompassing a variety of humanitarian projects benefiting more than 2,700 orphans associated with 1,156 families from Sharjah and the Central and Eastern regions. This campaign designates essential assistance within financial Zakat and Ramadan provisions, alongside diverse Ramadan projects endorsed by the initiative.
The goal is to address the needs of beneficiary families, reinforcing humanitarian support for orphans and ensuring the distribution of allocated amounts to each family prior to Ramadan. This guarantees that families with limited incomes are adequately prepared for their requirements during the holy month. The allocated amounts are tailored to each family's situation and living standards, inviting community members to actively contribute to the campaign projects.

Muna Bint Huda Al Suwaidi, the General Manager of the foundation, emphasised the campaign's alignment with the leadership's vision to care for and support the foundation's affiliates. She highlighted Ramadan as a prime opportunity for enhanced communication, solidarity, and the realisation of social cohesion among community members.

Al Suwaidi detailed that the "Zakki" campaign, under the theme "Your Charity for Orphans," encompasses impactful projects for the foundation's affiliates. The foundation's focus is on serving, caring for, and empowering orphans in various fields, aiming to address the needs of financially disadvantaged families, safeguard their human dignity, and alleviate their burdens.

The campaign spotlights supporting projects benefiting orphan families. The "Zakat" project, operational throughout the year and intensified during Ramadan, gathers Zakat contributions from the community, disbursing funds to eligible orphan families. It also finances supportive projects to empower them throughout the year, contributing to social prosperity and responding promptly to their diverse circumstances.

The "Ramadan Mir" project stands out as a crucial initiative, providing provisions to orphan families and alleviating their financial burdens. Another project encourages community members to participate in charitable activities, supporting Ramadan breakfast meals for orphan families.

Empowering productive orphan families during the holy month, the foundation provides them with the opportunity to contribute to preparing Ramadan meals for other orphan families, fostering a sense of empowerment and generosity.

To encourage positive participation, the campaign invites community members to take part in the "Ramadan Giving" project by donating essential food items through the "Dhabihaati" electronic application. The application facilitates the preparation and delivery of food boxes to benefiting orphan families with limited income.

The "Zakki" campaign is a continuation of the foundation's values of giving and sacrifice, emphasising social solidarity to provide support for orphan families. The foundation persists in its efforts to achieve sustainable empowerment for orphans, preserving their dignity and ensuring their happiness in various aspects.
