The initiative aims to encourage institutions and individuals to do charitable work, activate and enhance the community role of the department, and consolidate the values of solidarity among members of society, in addition to improving health services and providing a suitable environment that serves patients and visitors to medical centres. The initiative reached 40,861 beneficiaries, whereas 253 centres were covered, and 394 water coolers and 40,861 bottles were distributed.
His Excellency Talib Al Marri, Director General of the Department, said that the department is keen to provide these vital quality initiatives, which consolidate sound societal values based on the principle of compassion. He added that the initiative comes within the framework of achieving the Department sustainable development plans that make a positive contribution and charitable and humanitarian impact on social life, in addition to enhancing the role of endowment projects and working to achieve the goals for which they were established.
Al Marri added that the initiative was very well received by the health centres and their customers, as they expressed their thanks and appreciation, and praised this pioneering step, and the Department is looking forward to providing more of these initiatives that contribute to serving the community.
