Sharjah 24: Hoops, the Labanese Club and the Syrian Al Wahda qualified to the semi-finals of the fourth Sharjah International Men’s Basketball Championship (SIMBC), after the Hoops victory over Sharjah Club with a score of (98-84), in the match that brought the two teams together in the second round of the group stage.

The Syrian Al Wahda secured its place at the top of the second group, with its second successive victory against Al Bataeh team with a score of (68-67) in an exciting, dramatic match.

Sharjah will meet with Al Bataeh, on Sunday, at Sharjah Club hall, to compete for the third qualification for the golden square, and the winner will face the Syrian team Al Wahda. While Antonine will face Al-Ittihad Ahli of Aleppo Sports Club, on the same day to determine the fourth party that qualifies to meet the Lebanese Hoops in the semi-finals.

It is noteworthy that all matches are broadcast on Sharjah Sports Club social media platforms (Sharjah SSC) and the club’s channel on “YouTube” with comprehensive coverage of all results and events, whereas the tournament saw a distinguished public presence in Sharjah Club Hall and a high viewership rate approaching 70,000 viewers on Sharjah Sports Club YouTube channel, the official and exclusive broadcaster of the championship matches.

The third day saw the presence of His Excellency Major General Ismail Al Gergawi, President of the Emirates Basketball Federation; His Excellency Issa Hilal, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council; Mr. Jassim Qansouh, President of the Lebanese Hoops Club; His Excellency Abdul Latif Al Fardan, Vice President of the Emirates Basketball Federation; His Excellency Muhammad Al Hussan, Member of the Board of Directors of Sharjah Club and Head of the Group Games Department, Chairman of the tournament organising committee; and Adnan Al Khayal, vice president of the organising committee.
