Sharjah24 : In accordance with the goals and instructions of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to prioritise the fishing industry and provide assistance to fishermen, the Sharjah Fish Resources Authority (SFRA) has inaugurated the Fishermen's Village in Al Hamriyah. The workers' demands were met by the village's many amenities and services, which were built to the highest standards and specifications. The opening of nearby housing and boat berths was also announced by the SFRA.
Several officials from the city of Al Hamriyah, the chairman and members of the Al Hamriyah Cooperative Society for Fishermen, and Ali Ahmed Ali Abu Ghazin, head of the Sharjah Fish Resources Authority, were present for the inauguration ceremony of the village.

Thanks to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah's directions to maintain the fishing profession, offer full assistance to fishermen, and supply the local market with local fish, the village is created according to the finest standards, Abu Ghazin stressed.

According to him, the fishermen in the area have taken a significant step forward in terms of quality and professionalism with the move of support category workers to this hamlet. The fishermen now have access to world-class amenities that will make their jobs easier and help them satisfy their needs.

A mosque that can hold up to two hundred worshippers, a dining hall, washing rooms, and storage facilities for fishing equipment are all part of the village.
