Sharjah 24: The work of the third session of the Arab Parliament for the Child (APC) in Sharjah begins with wide participation from Arab countries, as both Qatar and Syria participate for the first time with their children, amid expectations of fruitful activities that reflect the commitment of Arab countries to supporting and developing the social and educational role of children.
Sharjah will witness the arrival of delegations from 19 Arab countries, to participate in this important Arab meeting, which is being held under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of His Excellency Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League.

Each Arab country participates with four children accompanied by a supervisor, with a total of 76 male and female participants, as Sharjah receives them to participate in various interactive activities and programmes organised during the coming period.

The event’s activities include many activities and programmes, such as field visits and workshops, in addition to preparing for the general session, which is considered one of the most prominent events.

His Excellency Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament for the Child, confirmed the readiness of the organising committees to receive delegations of Arab children coming from various airports in the country in a rich programme that has been prepared to coincide with the goals and plans of the Arab Parliament for the Child under the umbrella of the Arab League to serve Arab childhood and develop its roles.

He welcomed the participation of Arab countries in this important event, especially since Qatar and Syria are participating with their children for the first time, which will make their participation a qualitative addition to the events.

He stressed that holding the general session for children amidst this large attendance will provide an opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge, and build a generation capable of contributing to building the future of Arab societies.
