Sharjah24: The secretary general of the Arab Parliament for the Child Ayman Osman Al-Barout, led a meeting at the Parliament's headquarters in Sharjah. The session involved discussions between the General Secretariat of the Arab Parliament for the Child and the General Secretariat of the Consultative Council in Sharjah.
Key points addressed included preparations for hosting Arab child delegations during the third session of the Parliament in Sharjah. The meeting covered the efforts of committees in receiving and guiding the delegations, organising activities, and visiting notable events in Sharjah. Additionally, workshops aligning with the Parliament's initiatives for developing children's skills were reviewed.
Committee leaders and members deliberated on a statement summarising efforts to ensure the success of Sharjah's hosting of Arab delegations during the ongoing parliamentary session.
Discussions also encompassed hosting events from February 18 to February 27, 2024, along with collaborative discussions to enhance themes presented during the general session for Arab children. The focus is on "Artificial Intelligence through the Eyes of Arab Children," scheduled for February 24 at the Consultative Council.
Al Barout underscored the importance of effective coordination with relevant entities to successfully host Arab children during events in Sharjah, which take place under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and with the guidance of Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League.
He expressed gratitude for the efforts of both General Secretariats in preparing for this significant event. He also acknowledged the collaboration of federal and local entities in the UAE, as well as external and international partners. Emphasising the Arab Parliament for the Child's role in fostering communication and cooperation among Arab nations, he highlighted its aim to empower Arab children through educational, enriching, and entertaining programmes, as well as tourist activities to enhance their skills and experiences.
