10 days of interactive programs for members of APC

Sharjah24: The Arab Parliament for the Child (APC) members will enjoy ten-eventful-days of workshops, visits, and interactive programs during the proceedings of their third session of the third term.
The events are held under the gracious patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, which will include a number of training workshops and scientific field visits.

This session is part of a series of events aimed at enhancing the status of children in Arab society and developing their abilities and skills in various fields. The planned activities are expected to promote interaction and cooperation among Arab children, fostering the exchange of experiences and knowledge among them.

The supporting activities for the members' meeting will begin with the arrival of the Arab delegations on Sunday, the 18th of February, and continue for ten consecutive days. During this time, they will be briefed on the session's agenda, receive identification cards, familiarize themselves with the general directions, and prepare for their participation in the planned events agenda in collaboration with the parliamentary partners. A special event will be organized in cooperation with the Big Heart Foundation on Monday, the 19th of February.

In the evening , the Arab delegations will be guests at the Sharjah Desert Park. On Tuesday, the 20th of February, the delegations will visit Sharjah Safari located in Al Dhaid city, followed by the coordination meetings of the parliamentary committees on Wednesday at the APC's headquarters in Sharjah. The committees include the Children's Rights Committee and the Activities and Events Committee. On Thursday, there will be a graduation ceremony for the Parliament's Diploma in Parliamentary Skills at the University of Sharjah.

On Saturday, the 24th of February, the children will hold their third session at Sharjah Consultative Council , and the program will conclude with their participation in the Parliamentarians' Forum in collaboration with the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators.

Building on that,  Ayman Othman Al Barout, the Secretary-General of the APC, mentioned that Sharjah would witness the launch of the APC session emphasizing that these events reflect the commitment to enhancing the role of Arab children in shaping the future. He also affirmed that the scientific workshops and field visits conducted by the members of the APC would activate the role of children in the decision-making process and contribute to the effective and creative development of societies.

Regarding the session's topic, Al Barout stressed the importance of discussing artificial intelligence through the eyes of Arab children, affirming that these discussions can contribute to directing efforts towards developing educational and social policies that align with the needs of children in this digital age, thus realizing the sincere desire to build a future generation capable of confidently and positively facing current and future challenges.
