Fatima Abdul Karim, the Director of the Financial Resources Management Department, stated that the aim of the meeting was to introduce the department's services, disseminate knowledge, and communicate with departments involved in financial matters. It also showcased new programs related to special accounts which will combined with digital transformation. Employees who contributed to the success of the accounting program were honored during the meeting.
Fatima Abdul Karim stated that the tasks and objectives of the Financial Resources Management Department include planning and evaluating the financial performance of the department, enabling it to understand its financial position, expenditure areas, and sources of funding. The department works on securing the material needs of the department and managing its assets.
She emphasized that the first meeting stems from the department's vision that financial resources should be sustainable and demonstrate innovative and advanced performance in public financial management. She affirmed the necessary to make optimal use of available resources, develop and preserve them, and provide financial facilitations that support core activities and programs, while overcoming any financial difficulties in order to achieve the department's goals.
The Director of the Financial Resources Management Department presented the departments under the management, starting with the Financial Planning Department, which includes the Budget Section and the Revenue Development Section. The Accounts Department includes the Government Expenditure Section, Members' Funds Section, and Donations Account Section. The third department is the Purchasing Department, which includes the Assets and Properties Section, as well as the Contracts and Procurement Section.
At the end of the meeting, employees who contributed to the success of the accounting program were honored, in recognition of their unlimited efforts that contributed to the success of the programme .
