Sharjah24: The "Professional Support Programme of the Sharjah Social Services Department" (SSSD) took part in an open day organised by the Human Resources Department in collaboration with Majid Al Futtaim Group for job seekers within the Human Resources Department and programme participants who are eligible for social security benefits.

The employment interviews took place on Thursday, February 1, 2024, in the Palace of Culture, where career possibilities within the Majid Al Futtaim Group were provided in a variety of sectors.

According to Amna Al Hammadi, Director of the Professional Support Programme at SSSD, "the organisation of the open meeting under the "Opportunity" initiative, which is based on the principle of "empowerment through employment," falls within the framework of the coordination process with private sector companies. The goal is to help programme participants find occupations that will help them improve their living conditions and get access to possibilities in both government and commercial organisations. This helps boost the sustainable development process and provides assistance to the target community." 

"The first phase focused on formulating work system plans and strategies, as well as interacting with key parties to urge them to participate in job fairs and give job possibilities to social security recipients. During the second phase, we began conducting exhibits with partners to conduct direct job interviews."
