Al Ketbi: 300 students compete in govt. schools chess championship

Sharjah 24: His Excellency Salem Mohammed bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club, announced the participation of 300 male and female students in the finals of the Government Schools Chess Championship for Boys and Girls in its second edition, with the aim of discovering young talents and refining their skills.
His Excellency Salem Mohammed bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club, announced the organisation of the 2nd edition of the finals of the Government Schools Chess Championship for boys and girls at the club’s headquarters.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club thanked the Emirates School Establishment, the UAE Chess Federation and the Sharjah Chess Club for organising this important event a success.

Al Ketbi explained in statements to “Sharjah 24” that the finals enhance the skills of students from various schools in the emirates of the country, and encourage them to participate in mind sports.
