Sharjah 24: The press briefing unveiling the details of hosting the West Asia Para Games is set to take place at 11 AM, on Tuesday, at the Sheraton Sharjah Hotel.
The announcement of Sharjah Emirate's role as the host for the event, represented by the Al Thiqah Club for the Disabled, is scheduled from January 27th to February 3rd, under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

During the conference, information regarding participating nations, player numbers, and the scheduled events throughout the tournament will be disclosed. Moreover, the official and supporting sponsors for the championship will also be unveiled.

Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadem, Vice President of the World Disability Union and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Thiqah Club for the Disabled in Sharjah and head of the organising committee, affirmed that Sharjah's hosting of the "Fourth West Asia Para Games" reflects the Emirate's dedication to supporting individuals with disabilities, aligning with its fundamental principles and values. 

Bin Khadem also commended the active role played by the media in spotlighting the event and showcasing the collective efforts of all state institutions in providing comprehensive support and care for individuals with disabilities. He stressed that individuals with disabilities have exhibited remarkable abilities, bringing pride to the country in various international sports arenas. He pointed out that the UAE has gained substantial expertise in organising major global sports events, and the club's management has established several sub-committees to present the event in a distinguished manner for Sharjah.
