Sharjah 24: His Excellency Salem Mohammed Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Khorfakkan Sports and Cultural Club, announced the launch of the second edition of Labbaik Khorfakkan Run Festival, on March 16, with the participation of about 2000 competitors.
The Khorfakkan Sports and Cultural Club held a press conference in Al Rabi Tower Square, in cooperation with the UAE Athletics Federation, to announce the details of the second edition of Labbaik Khorfakkan Run Festival.
The conference was attended by His Excellency Major General Dr. Mohammed Al Murr, President of the UAE Athletics Federation; His Excellency Salem Mohammed Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Khorfakkan Sports and Cultural Club; a number of sports club officials; and media representatives.
Speaking exclusively to “Sharjah 24,” His Excellency Salem Mohammed Al Naqbi said that the second edition of the festival will start on March 16, and comes in cooperation with the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), UAE Athletics Federation, Sharjah Police General Command (SPGC), and Sharjah Government Media Bureau.
Al Naqbi added that the organising committee expects about 2000 players to participate in this edition, explaining that a distance of 8 kilometres has been allocated for men, 6 kilometres for women, and 3 kilometres for children and parents, pointing out that valuable prizes will be distributed to the winners.
