Director Elham Mohammed expressed her happiness at representing the UAE in the Arab Theatre Festival in Iraq and thanked His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah’s patronage of the event which brings this number of Arab theatre people under one roof to confirm that theatre will continue to prosper.
She told “Sharjah 24” that the Arab Theatre Festival is an opportunity for cultures from various Arab countries to meet, to exchange experiences, and to compete in the interest of theatre in general.
“Al Jallad” competes for the festival’s award among 13 shows representing most Arab countries, with the result to be announced during the closing ceremony at the National Theatre in Baghdad. The name of the host country for the festival next year will also be unveiled.
