Sharjah 24: The great Emirati artist Ahmed Al Jassmi explained that the play “Zaghanbot” was specially selected to participate in the 14th session of the Arab Theater Festival, in Iraq. The play is directed Mohammed Al Ameri and authored by Ismail Abdullah.
Al Jassmi stated that the theatrical performance of the Sharjah National Theatre troupe, “Zaghanbot,” is a local show, but its content is reflected in all Arab countries. He added, “It means a lot to us to present this show in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and in front of this large audience of theatre lovers and actors who represent the entire Arab world.”
He told “Sharjah 24”: We wish that the show met the public’s satisfaction, stressing that such a work would have not reached this level had it not received the support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah, Supreme President of the Arab Theatre Institute” who provided the opportunity to present the show to the Arab world through the activities of the Arab Theatre Festival.”
