Sharjah 24: On Sunday, January 14, Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club (SERC), presided over the opening of the Sharjah Arabian Horse Show, which the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club sponsored in collaboration with the Emirates Arabian Horse Society. Horse owners from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman turned up in large numbers for the event.
The Sharjah Arabian Horse Show attracted a lot of attention and included 119 thoroughbred Arabian horses, some of which were used for racing and others for showing, according to Sultan Mohammed Khalifa Al Yahyai, the director-general of the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club.
