2 horse racing cups to kick off at Sharjah Longines Racecourse

Sharjah24: In cooperation with the Emirates Racing Authority and sponsored by the Dubai Real Estate Centre, the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club (SERC) is organizing the “The Crown Prince of Sharjah Cup and Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cup” race on November 11, at 2 pm.
The race will be at Sharjah Longines Racecourse, with the support of the Sharjah Sports Council and the Sharjah Sports Channel

The second edition of the Emirates Sprint Racing Series has been launched, which will start at Sharjah Longines Racecourse during the current season.

The first round of the series will be through the “Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cup” at Sharjah Racecourse, with a 1200-meter sprint race.

The winner of the first round of the series will be qualified to participate in the Jebel Ali Sprint race.

Sultan Mohammed Khalifa Al Yahyai, Director General of the SERC, praised the directives of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to establish and organize the UAE Speed Racing Series in its second edition.

Mohammed AlAhmad, General Manager of Jebel Ali Racecourse, confirmed that the Emirates Sprint Racing Series is a cooperation initiative between the UAE’s clubs to improve horse racing and create excitement and challenge.

Yasser Mabrouk, Director of Racing Development at the Emirates Racing Authority, confirmed that the initiative of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to organize a series of sprint races for the Cup, inevitably found support from all sectors and the horse racing clubs in the UAE.
