Sharjah24: Sheikh Khalid bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Creative Association, presented awards to the first-place winners of the second edition of the Social Media Ambassador Award on Saturday evening at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In his opening remarks, Dr. Al Qasimi extended a warm welcome to the attendees and congratulated the winners across various categories, emphasising the award's objective of supporting meaningful and authentic content for citizens and residents in the UAE and the Gulf region. He highlighted the award's role in endorsing social media accounts and platforms that have made a positive impact on society.
Dr. Al Qasimi also pointed out the recent Billion Followers Summit in Dubai, where the importance of supporting social media influencers to enhance the quality of their content was discussed. The Emirates Creative Association, having initiated the first edition of the award in 2022, remains at the forefront in this regard, with plans for continuity in the years ahead, thanks to community support.

In concluding his speech, Sheikh Khalid Al Qasimi expressed gratitude to the award's sponsors, including the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sharjah Media City (Shams), and Al Ain Farms Company. He also acknowledged the participants in the accompanying exhibition from the Masarat Center for Development and Empowerment, affiliated with the Sharjah City for Human Services, the Emirates Down Syndrome Association, as well as the organising committee, award judges, volunteers, media, and social media influencers, all of whom played a crucial role in the success and sustainability of the award.

Dr. Faisal Shahin Al Hammadi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association and Head of the Organising Committee of the Award, emphasised that the Emirates Creative Association is hosting this edition following the remarkable success achieved in the inaugural edition in 2022 within the United Arab Emirates.

The primary goal of the Social Media Ambassador Award in its second edition is to support and inspire creators of meaningful content. This objective is guided by the principles and vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founder of the United Arab Emirates, reflecting his humanitarian approach to fostering purposeful content. The award not only focuses on the Emirati landscape but extends its influence to encompass the broader Gulf region.

Dr. Al Hammadi extended his appreciation to the diligent efforts, collaboration, integrity, and sustained dedication of the award evaluation committee over the past months. Their meticulous work involved processing and assessing applications based on the criteria and conditions outlined by the association, aligning with the ten standards set by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. These standards ensure the adherence of social media influencers to specified benchmarks.

The event kicked off with Sheikh Khaled Al Qasimi inaugurating an accompanying exhibition featuring artistic contributions from individuals with determination affiliated with the Masarat Center for Development and Empowerment, as well as the Emirates Down Syndrome Association. A documentary highlighting the award and its stages was presented, followed by the announcement of winners and subsequent recognition by the event's sponsor.

In the category recognising the Best Personality or Account in community service or the best social media content for the year, Mohamed Essam Maho secured the first position, followed by Rafi Mufaq Jarouj in second place, and Ali Abdullah Abu Warda in third place.

For the Best Personality or Account in arts, entertainment, or media, Ali Hameed Al Loghani claimed the top spot, with Asmaa Mohammed Al Shihi securing the second position, and Lina Abdullah Al Aali in third place.

In the category of the Best Leadership Personality in Social Media, Haza'a Ali Abu Alreesh secured the first place, followed by Alaa Mohamed Al Sayed in second place, and Ahmed Mohammed Al Naqbi (Boudana) in third place.

Additionally, Sheikh Khalid Al Qasimi acknowledged and honoured the supporting institutions, companies, the high organising committee, the judging committee, and the individuals contributing to the success of the award. He recognised their valuable efforts in organising the event, along with the volunteer team "Thank You for Your Giving."
