Sharjah 24: The second day of the UAE Innovation Month activities in the Emirate of Sharjah, held in the Men’s College at the University of Sharjah, until February 18, witnessed the visit of many officials who praised the participating projects.
Sheikh Khalid bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Creative Association, reviewed the projects and initiatives participating in the activities of the UAE Innovation Month in the Emirate of Sharjah.
This aims to support the innovation in the United Arab Emirates to achieve sustainable development goals, and for the country to be a platform that receives creators and innovators in all areas.
Sheikh Khalid bin Humaid Al Qasimi praised the participating projects, stressing that innovation has become in recent years one of the pillars of development and renaissance in the United Arab Emirates that supports the country's future directions and places it at the forefront of the race for development.
His Excellency Omar Hremel, Executive Director of Sharjah Technology and Innovation Oasis, also was briefed on the most prominent government contributions that shed light on the development and progress in the field of career innovation, urging participants to adopt a culture of innovation in their daily lives.
During the UAE Innovation Month in the Emirate of Sharjah, Ahmed Al Mail, Director of the Sharjah Social Services Department, launched a service, which allows the submission of urgent communications from the public to the toll-free number 800700 around the clock.
He was also briefed on various innovative projects that will improve the lives of individuals by facilitating access to available services in the simplest ways.
Salem Omar, Director of Sharjah Publishing City - Free Zone, expressed his happiness with the participating projects, pointing to the importance of innovation in developing and supporting various fields related to science, innovation, technology and scientific research.
It is worth noting that the activities of the UAE Innovation Month in the Emirate of Sharjah will continue until February 18, and that the participation of the Emirate of Sharjah within the UAE Innovation Month is part of the government’s continuous efforts to foster a culture of innovation in the government sector.
