The "Best Voluntary Team" award honours excellent contributions to volunteer activity, while the "Best Young Leader for Volunteer Teams" award honours emerging leaders in the sector.
Individuals in the "Supporter of Voluntary Work" category might provide financial, intellectual, or policy assistance, each with its own set of qualifications. The "Sustainable Volunteering Initiative" category recognises those who initiate voluntary initiatives to solve societal issues. The award encourages direct execution or collaboration with others.
Fatima Musa Al Balushi, Executive Director of the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work, emphasised the importance of individual volunteers as the foundation of success in various volunteer programmes. She asked potential volunteers to register by January 15, 2024, using the award's website or contact details. The judging committee will evaluate and choose winners based on the submitted projects.
Al Balushi emphasised the importance of individual volunteers in society's development and stated that the award aims to honour and encourage those who actively contribute to voluntary work in areas such as financial support, sustainable initiatives, and volunteer leadership, among others.
