Sharjah24: The Sharjah Foundation to Support Pioneering Entrepreneurs “RUWAD”, of the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), concluded the ninth edition of its annual community initiative, “Business Stars”, from 8 to 21 December, as part of the activities of “Dawahi 12” in Al Qarayen Park 4.

40 groups of 80 Emirati university students from Sharjah, aged between 10 and 21 years, partook in the initiative, over 2 phases, 20 in each.

The initiative had a remarkable turnout from the public and the students’ parents.

The initiative represented an ideal opportunity for the students to present their products and services and market them to the public, taking the first step towards entrepreneurship from an early age.

The total revenues from the presented projects in both groups of schools and universities were AED116,745, of which AED60,934 was for school students, and AED55,811 was for university students, according to Fatima Al Ali, acting director of “RUWAD”.

She added that the initiative was accompanied by several training workshops and fun activities in which several “RUWAD” members participated.

She hailed all the students, along with their parents, in addition to everyone who supported the event and the members of the initiative’s organizing committee.

The participating students expressed delight at the stunning opportunity where they got the chance to showcase their projects.
