Sharjah24: The Sharjah Foundation to Support Pioneering Entrepreneurs “RUWAD”, of the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), launched the ninth edition of its annual community initiative, “Business Stars”, from 8 to 21 December, as part of the activities of “Dawahi 12” in Al Qarayen Park 4.
40 groups of 80 Emirati university students from Sharjah, aged between 10 and 21 years, are partaking in the initiative.
The initiative's first phase was designated for school students aged 10 to 15 years, from December 8 to 14, while the second phase was from December 15 to 21, for students aged 16 to 21 years.
Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Head of the SEDD, said that instilling the concepts of entrepreneurship among youngsters from a young age is of great importance within the objectives of the RUWAD, intending to prepare and motivate the next generation of entrepreneurs and developing their entrepreneurial behavior in a way that meets market requirements, modern economic, and technological changes.
