Ruwad Forum celebrates 2023 partners and pioneering projects

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Establishment to support pioneering entrepreneurs “Ruwad”, affiliated with Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), organised the second “Ruwad Forum” for the year 2023, in the presence of His Excellency Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Chairman of SEDD, and His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police.
The forum included honouring 66 partners, supporting entities, distinguished projects, and supply companies. It also included introducing the results of Ruwad services and activities for the year 2022, presenting a number of success stories and inspiring experiences of the Establishment’s projects, and holding a panel discussion for entrepreneurs, in addition to concluding a package of commercial deals. 

His Excellency Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, stressed the importance of continuing to hold such meetings as they represent an effective platform for sharing rich ideas between entrepreneurs and the bodies supporting this sector; discussing the best entrepreneurial experiences and practices; in addition to enhancing opportunities to achieve the desired integration between projects, and learning about the aspects of support and assistance that “Ruwad” provides to its members.


Al Mahmoud pointed out the positive growth in the number of projects joining “Ruwad” membership during the year 2022, the continued granting of finance for more projects, in addition to the rest of the training and consulting services provided, as well as what is provided by federal government agencies. 


The head of SEDD stressed that “supporting the sons and daughters of the nation and empowering their projects is a responsibility  entrusted by the wise leadership to everyone, and that it is necessary to continue to commit to performing it .


As part of the forum’s agenda, attendees watched a number of presentations that included a review of the results of last year, which saw the joining of 224 new projects to the establishment’s membership, the renewal of membership for 262 projects for a second or third year, and the extension of 87 projects for a fourth or fifth year. 


Attendees also enjoyed watching a creative film documenting the role of the member projects in enhancing the entrepreneurship environment in the Emirate of Sharjah and bringing about positive change in the life of society and the reality of the economy. This was followed by a review of one of the inspiring success stories achieved by the member projects where Abdulaziz Al Mazmi spoke about his success journey in the (Top Express Delivery Services) project.


His Excellency Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud honoured 24 strategic partners representing a number of local government agencies, ministries, entrepreneurship support institutions and centres, a number of private sector companies, Sharjah Police General Command, and Sharjah Academy of Police Sciences. 


On the sidelines of the forum, a number of cooperation and partnership agreements were concluded between a group of member projects within the (Networking) project, namely Al Qurm Holidays, Al Muttarif for order delivery services, and others.
