Sharjah24: As part of Sharjah Ladies Club’s ongoing commitment to providing its members with a wide range of cultural activities, we are delighted to announce the African Carnival on December 9th. To be held on the beach terrace from 5 pm to 10 pm with free entry. The event aims to give a real insight into the diverse cultures across the African continent and will include various workshops and entertainment shows.

Speaking ahead of the event, the Club’s Director of Corporate Communications, Duaa Al Mahri, said: “As with all our events, the idea for our African Carnival came from our desire to give our members and visitors a chance to explore the rich cultural heritage of the African continent, celebrating its art, food and produce in all their forms through a variety of activities and workshops.”

She added: “These workshops and drum circles will offer fun and engaging way for people to participate. Carnival visitors will also be able to enjoy African Art through an exhibition by Collage Talent Centre, showcasing a diverse collection of artworks, including pottery, African paintings, and some resin paintings.

Sharjah Ladies Club facilities will be taking part by hosting special events. Fitness 180 Centre will be running Afro classes, while Orchid Beauty Boutique will be offering treatment packages which include hair braiding and henna. Dalouk Wellness Spa will be offering members complimentary consultations and Collage Café will be serving a variety of delicious dishes. Visitors can also enjoy nail care services during the event.

For those looking for an African retail experience, there will be plenty of traditional African products for sale available at the Collage Talent Center Boutique corner, including handmade bags and shea butter.

Basateen Pre School Centre will host various activities for children aged three and over, including face painting, clothes and tote bag painting, hair braiding, seed planting, and photos in the Safari Corner, all for just 60 AED.
