Sharjah 24: As part of its ongoing efforts to provide entertainment activities for different age groups, Sharjah Ladies Club is set to launch the “African Carnival”, which aims to provide a unique experience that reflects the heritage and arts of Africa, through a group of activities that include workshops and artistic performances, on December 9 from 5-10 pm, at the Beach Lounge at Sharjah Ladies Club.

Duaa Al Mahri, Director of Corporate Communications Department at Sharjah Ladies Club, said that the African Carnival provides women, girls and children with the opportunity to learn about African culture, which is rich in culture and art, in an entertaining framework, through a group of activities and events that were carefully chosen to suit all age groups.

Duaa Al Mahri tated that African art workshops and the African drum show are among the activities aiming to enrich the cultural experience.  Al Mahri added that the centre will provide an opportunity for female visitors to enjoy African arts through an exhibition that includes a variety of artistic works, including pottery, African painting and some resin paintings, in addition to a wide range of activities provided by the club’s various facilities, such as the Afro class provided by the fitness centre.

In addition, women can try different cuisines provided by Collage Café, and obtain beauty services from the Orchid Beauty Boutique, that include African braids and henna inscriptions, in addition to a nail care corner.

Visitors will also enjoy shopping and purchasing some souvenirs such as shea butter and bags available in the Collage Talent Centre boutique.
