Fatima Al Mahmoud, Director of Cultural Planning at the HoW, announced the launch of “Takween: Sciences and Creativity” exhibition, organised by HoW in Sharjah, in cooperation with KFCRIS, which includes several pavilions belonging to ancient Islamic manuscripts and collectibles.
Speaking exclusively to Sharjah 24, Fatima Al Mahmoud indicated that the exhibition contains several pavilions covering different fields such as engineering, astronomy, medicine, mathematics, and zoology.
Al Mahmoud added that this interactive event displays rare collectibles that include ancient manuscripts and scientific tools that reflect the history of experimental sciences in the golden age of the Arab and Islamic nation.
Al Mahmoud stressed that the aim of the exhibition is to shed light on the rich Arab-Islamic heritage, especially libraries and manuscripts at the “House of Wisdom”, which was considered a hub for the scientific and cultural renaissance in the Arab and Islamic world.
