Sharjah 24: At the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club, the 6th edition of the Sharjah International Chess Championship "Masters" got underway with the participation of world champions and title holders thanks to the support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

According to CEO of Alef Group, Issa Ataya's exclusive remarks to "Sharjah 24," the Sharjah Masters International Chess Championship is one of the strongest international open tournaments, and that the top player of the national team, Salem Abdul Rahman, will compete for the tournament awards amounting to $60,000. The tournament is held in collaboration with the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club and several government and private agencies.

Ataya stated that the Alef Group backs Sharjah's cultural and athletic endeavours to boost the emirate's profile and draw attention to its innovative achievements.
