The collaborative development agreement between BEEAH, Chinook Hydrogen, a waste-to-energy technology specialist from the United Kingdom, and Air Water Inc., a major Japanese conglomerate specialising in natural resource-related companies, represents the emirate's growth aspirations. It enhances the UAE's holistic policy, which includes investments in all infrastructure sectors in order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
Sharjah is concentrating on sustainable energy initiatives and the elimination of carbon from important sectors, including electricity, water, industry, building, transportation, garbage, and agriculture. BEEAH exhibited pioneering Sharjah initiatives that contribute to sustainable development at COP28, connecting with global objectives to speed the shift to renewable energy sources.
The waste-to-hydrogen station, according to Fahad Shehail, Chief, Operation, and Officer of BEEAH Group, enhances the UAE's position as a pioneer in sustainable energy and environmental technologies. It will help to reduce carbon emissions and meet the country's environmental goals.
