Sharjah24: Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler's Office in Kalba attended on Friday the UAE' 52nd Union Day celebrations at Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, which were arranged by the Sharjah Emirate Committee. The event was attended by representatives of government departments and institutions, as well as a crowd of city residents. On the occasion of the 52nd Union Day, Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Khorfakkan, sent his sincere congratulations and wishes to the wise leadership of the country.
According to remarks made to “Sharjah24”, he stated that the Sharjah Emirate Committee for 52nd Union Day festivities, in collaboration with the city's government ministries and the Municipal Council, organised a grand national carnival celebration at Khorfakkan Amphitheater.
Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi was present at the celebration along with a sizable number of local citizens, directors, and representatives of government agencies and institutions, as well as Khaled Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, Dr. Sulaiman Suhail Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Department of Municipal Affairs in the Sharjah, and the Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, Tariq Saeed Allay.
The celebration featured various segments, including folkloric performances, traditional songs, exhibitions by productive families, as well as numerous musical and entertainment performances by Khorfakkan school students, poetry evenings, and carnival parades.
