Sharjah24: The Sharjah Civil Defense Authority team was crowned champion of the 26th edition of the football tournament for government institutions in Sharjah, held by the Sharjah Government Employees Club in cooperation with the Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled and under the supervision of the Sharjah Sports Council.

The Civil Defense team won the final match 1-0 against the Sharjah Sports Council team.

The crowning ceremony was attended Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the SSC; Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadem, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Sharjah Government Employees Club; and Brigadier Sami Al Naqbi, Director General of the Sharjah Civil Defense Authority.

Al Hazami hailed the efforts of the Executive Committee of the Sharjah Government Employees Club in organising the tournament. The event helps break daily routines, hence increasing productivity.

Dr. Bin Khadim stressed that the successes resulted from Al-Thiqah Club for the Disabled and the Sharjah Government Employees Club cooperation. He was pleased with the tournament’s success and the sportsmanship among the participants.

He thanked the Sharjah Sports Council for supervising sporting events in Sharjah and for its constant cooperation with the Sharjah Government Employees Club to make its activities successful.
