The workshop was attended by members of the Supreme Committee for SCC, including Asma Rashid Sultan bin Taliah, Secretary General of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC); Ahmed Saeed Al Jarwan, Secretary General of SCC; Sheikh Saud bin Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Digital Office; Counselor Issa Saif bin Handal, Director of the Legal Department of the Government of Sharjah.
The workshop was also attended by heads and members of Sharjah electoral colleges in Al Hamriyah District, Al Dhaid City, Al Bataeh District, Mleiha District, Al Madam District, Khorfakkan City, Kalba City, Dibba Al Hisn City, executive staff in the electoral colleges, and a number of members of the Election Management Committee and the Media Committee.
The workshop, which was presented by members of the Election Management Committee, covered the conditions for voting for all voters, such as presenting Emirates ID card to verify the voter’s identity.
The workshop explained that voters who have problems accessing the voting system using the digital ID can go to the approved voting centres, where they will be helped to cast their votes using the Emirates ID card.
Also, elderly or visually impaired voters can cast their votes in the approved voting centres using the Emirates ID card.
Voting is scheduled to begin via the website from the fifth of December until the seventh of December, from eight in the morning until eight in the evening. In addition, voting is available in the accredited voting centres in person.
The approved voting centres are in Sharjah Chess Club, the municipality of Al Hamriya, Al Dhaid, Al Bustan District Council, Mleiha Sports Club, the municipality of Al Madam area, the municipality of Al Bataeh, in Khor Khorfakkan Expo, Kalba City District Councilans Dibba Al Hisn City Council.
