Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Statistics and Community Development, honoured the winners of the awards of the His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah Camel Racing Festival in its 2nd edition, in the presence of several officials, notables, people of the central region, and camel owners.
Matar Ali bin Howaiden Al Ketbi, President of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, extended his deepest thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member of the and Ruler of Sharjah, for his generous and continuous support and for organising the festival, which succeeded, in a short period, in attracting camel owners and tribesmen, from the UAE and the Gulf countries.
Al Ketbi congratulated the winners of the awards of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah Festival, praising the strong competition, in the races, over 5 days, at the Al Dhaid Camel Racing Arena.
Speaking exclusively to Sharjah 24, the President of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club explained that the closing day saw the “Hawl and Zamoul” (7-year old male and female camel) races, over a distance of 6 kilometres.
