Sharjah 24:The Sharjah Charity International (SCI), with the support of its donors, has helped 1,585 cases from the beginning of this year until the end of September, all of whom are debtors who failed to pay accumulated debts and have had executive rulings issued against them.
Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim, Executive Director, said that the SCI implements programmes to alleviate sufferings of the needy, momentously supported by donors, because this project has great goals, including contributing to the stability of the family and reuniting it with their breadwinner by taking care of paying the arrears of debts that led them to stay behind bars due to failure to settle them.
Bin Khadim confirmed that the association, represented by the Aid Committee, agreed to assist 1,585 cases and to take care of their debts related to housing arrears and other matters related to the family’s living situation, with a financial value of 7.2 million dirhams.
He added that the initiative aims to achieve the development of the spirit of social solidarity, strengthen the bonds of cooperation among members of society, provide social aid, and reduce the gap between members of society, with regard to their lives. He extended his sincere thanks to the donors who supported the association in implementing these humanitarian initiatives, and also appreciated the cooperation of the competent authorities in providing the association with needy people.
