The delegation, headed by Fares Al Mutawa, the committee’s Secretary-General learned about the role played by the Sports Council in Sharjah, which includes the largest number of sports and specialized clubs, and reviewed the events organised by the council throughout the year. The delegation also toured the departments and learned more about their tasks.
Al Hazami stated that the council is keen on cooperating with various sports federations and entities to achieve everything that would promote and improve sports in the UAE.
The two parties discussed partnership, hosting, and co-hosting events in Sharjah for its solid infrastructure thanks to the grand support and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Fares Al Mutawa praised the council's efforts at the level of Sharjah clubs, stressing that the seasonal achievements prove the claim. He added that the meeting was fruitful and will show through the joint events in the future.
