Sharjah24: The Palmeiras team topped the futsal tournament which was organized by the Khorfakkan Youth Center, one of the Sharjah Youth Centers affiliated with the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, from September 16 to October 3, 2023, , with the aim refining members sports skills.
Many special events that were held in the presence of a remarkable audience at the closing day , where the male and female students of the kindergarten and Al Nahwa school presented a national singing show, after which the Palmeiras and Zabeel teams competed for the championship cup in an enthusiastic, heavy-caliber match. The Palmeiras team was in its favor with two goals scored by Rashid Kamal, versus a goal scored by Khaled Khalil bin Ahmed for the Zabeel team.
The tournament was held with the participation of 120 players from the centre, aged from 13 to 18 years, who represented eight teams. They were divided into two groups, who performed artistically and demonstrated high-level football skills through the tournament’s 17 matches.
In conclusion, Shihab Al-Awadhi, Head of the Centers Affairs Department at Sharjah Youth, honored the Palmeiras team with the first place cup of the tournament, and the Zabeel team, which came in second place. Several players were honoured such as Hamdan Abdullah Al Balushi who won the tournament top scorer award ,Hamid Al Hosani who won the best goalkeeper award, and Rashid Kamal who won the best player in the tournament’s title.
